Understanding Home Care
Common signs include difficulty with daily activities like bathing or meal preparation, medication management challenges, frequent falls, increasing social isolation, or when family caregivers feel overwhelmed. Our free consultation can help assess whether home care would be beneficial and what level of support might be most helpful.
Personal Support Workers (PSWs) provide daily living assistance, companionship, and personal care under nursing supervision. They help with activities like bathing, meal preparation, and household tasks. Registered Nurses (RNs) and Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) handle medical care like wound care, IV therapy, medication administration, and health monitoring. We match the right professional to your specific needs.
We offer comprehensive care including daily personal support, companionship, in-home nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, specialized dementia care, chronic condition management, and palliative care. Each service can be customized to meet your family's unique needs and preferences.
We provide services throughout the Greater Toronto Area, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, and surrounding communities. Contact us to confirm we serve your specific location—we're always expanding to help more families.
Getting Started
For non-urgent situations, we typically start care within 24-48 hours after your consultation. For urgent or emergency needs, we can often arrange same-day services. We understand that care needs can arise suddenly, and we're here to respond quickly when families need us most.
Our care coordinator visits your home to understand your loved one's needs, preferences, and daily routines. We discuss health conditions, assess the home environment, and learn about your family's goals and concerns. This typically takes 60-90 minutes, and there's absolutely no obligation—we want you to feel confident in your decision.
We prioritize consistency and work hard to assign the same caregiver whenever possible. This builds trust and ensures your loved one receives familiar, personalized care. If your regular caregiver is unavailable, we'll send someone who's been briefed on your specific routines and preferences. If you're ever unsatisfied with a caregiver match, we'll work immediately to find a better fit.
A doctor's referral isn't required for most services, including PSW care and private nursing. However, some insurance plans may require a physician's order for coverage, and OHIP-covered nursing services may need a referral. We're happy to help coordinate with your healthcare providers and navigate insurance requirements.
Cost & Coverage
Costs depend on the type of care, frequency of visits, and duration of services. We offer flexible scheduling from a few hours to 24/7 care, and many families find our services cost-effective compared to residential care. We'll provide a detailed, personalized quote during your free consultation with no hidden fees or surprises.

You're never alone in handling emergencies.
We maintain quality through careful caregiver selection, ongoing training, regular supervision, and client feedback monitoring. Our registered nurses provide clinical oversight, and we conduct regular check-ins with families. We have a formal quality improvement program because we believe great care requires continuous improvement.
Your satisfaction is our priority. If there's any concern, contact us immediately and we'll work to address it quickly. This might include additional training, caregiver replacement, or care plan adjustments. We want every family to feel confident and comfortable with their care experience.
Family Communication & Involvement
We provide regular communication through daily care notes, weekly summary reports, and scheduled family meetings as needed. Our care coordinators are available for phone consultations, and we maintain open communication with your healthcare team. We'll customize communication frequency to match your family's preferences.
Absolutely. We encourage family involvement in care planning and ongoing decisions while respecting your loved one's privacy preferences. Family members can participate in assessments, care plan meetings, and regular reviews. We believe families know their loved ones best, and your input helps us provide better care.
Care plans are living documents that evolve with changing needs. We conduct formal reassessments every 6 months or sooner if needed. Care can be increased, decreased, or modified based on health changes, recovery progress, or family preferences. Our flexible approach ensures care remains appropriate and effective.
