IN-HOME PHYSIOTHERAPY

In-Home Physiotherapy

Expert physio. At your door.

Physiotherapy works best when it happens where you actually live. Our licensed physiotherapists come to your door — assessing your loved one's real environment, building programs for their actual stairs and bathroom, and removing the transportation barrier that usually stops rehab from happening at all.

What do you need help with?

Select one — we'll tailor the conversation.

Is this right for you?

Every family's situation is different. If any of these sound familiar, you don't have to figure it out alone — we can help.

Is your loved one recovering from a hip, knee, or joint replacement?
Have they had a fall, or are you worried they might?
Are they recovering from a stroke or neurological event?
Have they lost strength or mobility after a hospital stay?
Does getting to a clinic feel impossible — logistically or physically?
Has a doctor, surgeon, or discharge planner recommended physiotherapy?
Are they managing chronic pain that limits daily activity?
Do they need help learning to use a walker, cane, or mobility aid safely?

WHAT'S INCLUDED

What our physiotherapists treat

1

Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

Hip replacement, knee replacement, cardiac surgery, abdominal procedures — we follow the surgical team's protocol and keep communication lines open. In-home rehab removes the transport barrier and keeps recovery on track.

2

Balance Training & Fall Prevention

Targeted exercises to improve stability, strengthen the muscles that prevent falls, and retrain gait. Practised on their floors, their stairs, in their bathroom — not a clinic.

3

Stroke & Neurological Recovery

Mobility retraining, arm and leg strengthening, balance work, functional movement practice. Home-based means the practice happens in the environment that counts.

4

Strength & Mobility After Hospitalization

Hospital stays decondition people fast. We rebuild functional strength — getting up from a chair, walking safely, managing stairs — at whatever pace makes sense.

5

Chronic Pain Management

Manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and education on movement and positioning. Strategies to manage chronic pain without relying solely on medication.

6

Assistive Device Assessment & Training

Walker, cane, rollator, grab bars. We assess what they need, recommend the right device, and teach proper use — including Ontario ADP funding support where eligible.

7

Home Exercise Programs

Every session ends with a written home program — demonstrated, practised, and reviewed next visit. Physiotherapy only works with practice between sessions.

Dad needed physio after his hip replacement but getting him to a clinic was a nightmare — the car transfers, the pain, the waiting. We tried for three weeks and he'd barely progressed. Haven's physio came to the house and within a month he was walking around the block. I wish we'd started here.

THE PROCESS

What to expect

1

Initial assessment

Your physiotherapist reviews medical history, assesses strength, balance, mobility, and range of motion. They watch your loved one move — walking, standing, transferring, stairs if applicable. They identify what's limiting function and what's fixable.

2

A plan built for their situation

Goals, frequency, expected timeline — based on the actual assessment, not a template. The plan accounts for their home layout, their support network, and what they're trying to get back to.

3

Hands-on treatment every session

Manual therapy if appropriate. Guided exercise. Gait training. Balance work. Each session builds on the last.

4

Home program before they leave

Written exercises — demonstrated and practised before the session ends. These are checked and progressed at every visit.
